Our Story

Five years ago, during COVID-19, when the world felt quiet and disconnected, my mom and I found ourselves searching for something steady, something hopeful. When each day blurred into the next, we needed something to look forward to. We began simply. Making our own compost with kitchen scraps and sowing a few seeds with no expectations. The very first seeds we planted were daisies. Coincidentally, daises represent new beginnings and that is exactly what these simple, cheerful blooms came to represent in our lives.  A daily ritual bloomed from there. My mom and I would take two laps around the perimeter of our house together (one in the morning and one at night) to search for any signs of new growth or changes in our garden. The joy we received from these walks was unmatched.

As the months passed, our variety of flowers multiplied along with our love of the garden. It brought life and joy to a time marked by uncertainty and worry. Not only did the garden produce flowers, it also brought us countless memories as we worked together to figure out this whole ‘gardening thing’. We had to find innovative ways to preserve our garden from persistent deer. After trying several different tactics and techniques, we finally found a way to effectively protect our flowers.

And slowly, something beautiful emerged.

What started as a small act of tending the earth became something that tended our hearts. The rhythm of planting, watering, and watching things grow replaced our usual weekday schedule. As restrictions eased, we began exploring garden centers instead of trips to our local King of Prussia Mall. To my dad’s dismay, my mom and I expanded our garden beds. The abundance of flowers brought us so much joy, and made us want to share it with others.  We began giving flower bouquets to neighbors and friends in hopes to brighten their day.. The results were clear as these bouquets seemed to carry more comfort than words ever could.  And from there, Petals with Promise came to life.

Today, we grow our flowers organically, nurturing each stem from seed to bloom with care, patience, and deep respect for the land. What began with homemade compost remains at the heart of what we do — nurturing life naturally, and with intention. Each flower is grown in a way that honors the earth and reflects the same gentleness and care we hope to share with others. We thoughtfully arrange these beautiful bouquets and donate them to others, transforming these blooms into meaningful expressions of compassion and connection. Every bouquet is created not just for beauty, but for purpose.  The flowers feel like quiet promises — that even during rough times, hope is never far beneath the surface.

More than anything, we want to bring joy to our community — to place beauty into unexpected spaces, to brighten people's homes, hospital rooms, and hearts. From making compost during a global pandemic to organically grown bouquets placed gently into the lives of those around us, Petals with Promise is built on the belief that small acts of care can grow into something extraordinary.

Together we plant seeds, nurture hope, share beauty, and spread joy.

When you support our mission, you help us place hand-tended blooms into the hands of individuals facing illness, isolation, and hardship. Donate to join us in cultivating kindness from the ground up. Together, we can grow beauty, strengthen connections, and deliver moments of joy. And with every bouquet, we pass along a promise.

With Gratitude,

The Petals with Promise Team
